From blueprint to breakthrough — technology leadership and AI for Malaysia’s marital wellness platform
Interim CTO engagement covering infrastructure architecture, an agentic AI counsellor POC, and the technical posture that helped MySakinah win.
MySakinah is building digital infrastructure for marital wellness and family counselling in Malaysia — a category that sits at the intersection of Islamic values, mental health, and digital services. They came to Concyver at the most critical moment for any early-stage technology company: before the foundation was built. No architecture. No data strategy. No AI roadmap. The product vision existed. The technical path to get there did not.
MySakinah needed technology leadership — someone to translate product vision into credible architecture, make early-stage technical decisions, and hire the right people. Not an external advisor. An internal technology leader.
How do you scale access to professional marital counselling when trained counsellors are scarce? The preliminary screening process — gathering client context, assessing urgency, routing to appropriate support — was entirely manual, time-consuming, and inconsistent.
Fares Hasan stepped in as Interim CTO, taking ownership of architectural decision-making, tech stack selection, cloud infrastructure design, and technical hiring strategy. Not as an external consultant — as the technology leader inside the organisation. Every major early-stage technical decision was made or validated at this level.
Designed MySakinah's full technology infrastructure concept: platform architecture, data layer design, scalability model, and the technical roadmap from MVP through scale. Not a slides deck — an engineering blueprint the future team could execute against.
Built a proof-of-concept AI assistant for marital clinic preliminary screening — the stage before a client meets a counsellor. Built using RAG over professional guidance material with agentic routing logic. The assistant gathers structured intake information, identifies urgency signals, and routes clients to the appropriate counsellor pathway. Sensitive by design: Islamic ethical framing, privacy-first architecture, with hard escalation thresholds to human counsellors at appropriate moments.
MySakinah won grants on the strength of a technology posture and AI proof point that Concyver helped build and articulate.
The infrastructure blueprint became the architectural foundation the MySakinah team builds on. Zero inherited technical debt from early-stage guesswork.
Demonstrated that a scalable, AI-augmented intake process was viable, reducing counsellor time on intake and improving triage accuracy.
Architecture clarity gave MySakinah what they needed to hire the right engineers and build a team aligned to the actual product direction.
